Smart mark window

The main purpose of the Smart mark window is to save one copy of duplicate file. The Smart mark window allows you, automatically to set marks in the search results. You can read Tutorial 2: Clean whole drive from files which have duplicates in the folder [C:\My documents] to get more information how implement Smart mark window.

In the Smart mark window you will see two lists and a "rules pane".

Left list is a To Clean area. The To Clean is an area to set marks for deletimg duplicate files. After the window is open To Clean area contains paths to find duplicate files.
On the Right side is a To Keep area. The To Keep area is a "saving area" for the deleting operation.
The "Rules pane" contains groups of controls for choosing one instance of a duplicate file within the To Clean area only.

There are two ways to save one copy of a duplicate file.

By File path: in the To Clean area check-mark paths where you want to leave a copy of a duplicate file, then click the button Send To Keep. Checked paths will move into the To Keep area. Click button Set marks.
By Rules: turn on the tick boxes on the rules pane and adjust the rules. Click the button Set marks.

All marks will be set for duplicates files within the To Clean area.

Rules pane description.

Field Description
Mark files that have duplicates within To Clean area only Allows you to mark files that have duplicates to within the To Clean area only.
Keep one file for each group of duplicates Allows you to save one file for each group of duplicates, enables the controls to choose a file.
Order to choose file Defines order to apply rules to choose a file.
Modified date Chooses a file by date (newer or older).
Path in a-z order Chooses a file by file path alphabetically (smaller or greater).
File size Chooses a file by size (smaller or larger).
Name in a-z order Chooses a file by name alphabetically (smaller or greater).
